The middle school spring concert is tonight at the BCHS auditorium. The 6th-grade concert begins at 7:00 p.m. and the 7th and 8th-grade concert begins at 7:45 p.m. The cost is $3 for students and $2 for adults and senior citizens.
Spirit Day is May 4th! Wear your favorite Star Wars shirt and dress like your favorite Star Wars character. Spirit points will be awarded! May the 4th be with you!
The semi-formal dance will take place on Saturday, May 7th from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. The tickets are $15 each which includes snacks, refreshments, dancing, and a photo booth. Students can still buy their tickets this week. No additional money is needed at the dance.
The Mackinac Island money and forms are due on Friday, May 13th. Students need to turn forms in as soon as possible.
Friday, May 13th is a half-day of school. BCMS will dismiss at 10:30 a.m.
Thursday, May 19th is 5th-grade orientation. Students who are in 5th grade have the opportunity to come to the middle school, tour the building, and see what a day is like at the middle school.
May 30th there is no school in observance of Memorial Day.
The Grace A. Dow Memorial Library is looking for teen volunteers over the summer. This is a great opportunity to earn volunteer hours for graduation or club credit. To be a part of the VolunTeen program, you must be entering grades 7-12 in the Fall, but you DO NOT need to have a library card or live in the City of Midland. Responsibilities will include handing out summer reading prizes, helping with the Friends of the Library Booksale, helping with children’s events, and more! Teens can sign up for as many or as few hours as they want, but everyone must attend one of our orientation sessions on May 18 and 19. You can register on the library calendar or go to gadml.org/volunteen and fill out the google form to let us know you’re interested.
