Fifth Grade students from Pine River Elementary participated in Northwood University's GO MAD day on Friday, November 3. The students rotated through six different activities and had lunch in the cafeteria. Thank you, Northwood University, for inviting us to participate!

Mr. Hale popped in to BCEL today to see what we were up to. We love our visits from our Superintendent!!! Mr. Hale heard all about gratitude from Mrs. Duhoski's 2nd graders and all about what Mrs. Southwell's writers were working on.

Mrs. Woods’ class had a great time at the CNC today! We learned about life in the lives of the 1870 farm families. We loved learning how to grind corn, feed the farm animals, saw logs, and pump water. These are just a few of the chores we learned about! We had so much fun!!!!
Mrs. Duhoski's 2nd graders use a gratitude jar in their room to recognize all the things they can be grateful for throughout their day.
On Friday's they read the slips turned in recognition of the students or adults that they were grateful for throughout the week.
I was recognized today for my expressed gratitude for all of my Little Lancers.
After the slips are read the students and adults who were recognized stand up and the entire class earns an extra minute of recess for each nomination.
Thank you for inviting me, 2nd graders!! I sure am grateful for each and every one of you!! And ...I am grateful for Mrs. Duhoski and all the wonderful things she does with her amazing 2nd graders!
Ms. Heider's young scientist used their STEM journals to design, create, and revise bat caves and fruit baskets to compliment their study of bats and their weekly read aloud, " Stellaluna"
Her scientists were so creative and worked so well together!!

A great night of fun, music and honoring Mrs. Bossenberger at the seventh and eighth grade middle school Halloween band concert. Our students "rocked" it and did a "spooktacular" job.
BCEL welcomed our township firefighters and their really cool trucks for our fire drill this morning!!! We loved their visit!!! We even got to go up in the truck!!!!
Students in Mrs. Bradley‘s 5th grade class have been exploring Indigenous people groups, the diverse regions they lived in, and the resources available in each region. Students researched the homes built by these groups and constructed replicas of homes to model the resources and materials used. We love your creativity!
