
AP Calculus students are investigating how the length of a shadow changes as a person walks away from a spotlight on the ground or a streetlight.



1st grade students at BCEL used flashlights and paper with dot patterns to learn about some of the constellations. Thank you Ms. Rae for creating this fun activity.





Self Love Beauty hosted a workshop on Friday afternoon for BCHS students titled, "How to Break the Habit of Self-Doubt and Build Real Confidence." Participants had a great time working on their confidence, identifying their skills and talents, and creating new friendships. The next workshop is on February 17. Some of our first grade Lancers at BCEL used their recess time to work in their pollinator garden. They had such great conversations and fun while getting important work done.





Ms. Camp’s 5th graders tested out their predictions about gravity.





Ms. Collision’s class took advantage of the windy weather last week. They created designs and tested their ability to travel by wind.




Nine students from the Varsity Band performed in the U of M Flint Honor Bands this weekend! Congratulations Gloria, Marcy, Aubree, Wyatt, Ashlyn, Josiah, Emma, Madisyn, and Jimmy!





Nathan Rivard was recently honored for his outstanding character, service, and leadership at the DAR Good Citizen Recognition Tea. Ten seniors from ten area high schools were selected for this prestigious honor. We are proud of Nathan and his accomplishments!

BCEL's Leaping Lancer winners for November!!! This was our biggest group yet!!! I'm so proud of all if these Lancers growing by leaps and bounds!!!!


Mrs. Hedlund's kindergarten class has been learning about Day vs Night.
"Today we learned more about the moon phases and why the moon looks different throughout the month. Students used Oreos to make a model of the new moon, first quarter, full moon, and last quarter phases of the moon. They then used their models to draw a diagram in their science journals."

Floyd 3rd graders showing their math skills by building arrays and running their daily number sense routines!




Last week, Mrs. Poole's World History classes recreated Renaissance art.





Floyd gym students got a bonus hockey lesson last week thanks to a brief visit from three Saginaw Spirit hockey players. What a fun time!





Mr. Wright sent in pictures of their newly received salmon eggs for the Salmon in the Classroom program. Students get to observe and study the first five stages of the salmon life cycle before releasing them in the Chippewa river in the middle of May

Very proud to see Mr and Mrs Lashley as well as Mrs Johnson recognized this month by our Board as Lancer Leaders. All three are very deserving. Thank you Mrs Fermoyle and Mrs Vanconant for nominating!



8 students from Bullock Creek performed in the honor band- which was a large portion of the honor band! Way to go Josiah, Ashlyn, Megan, Bridgette, Wyatt, Mattie, Marc, & Clare! Clare Pelli was also first chair overall, and got to perform with EMU’s top Band!
We also saw BC Band alumni performing with the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Marching Band! Go Rebekah Kindy, Anna Pelli, & Kaylee Monville!





Some pictures of Mr. Wright's class learning about the Indigenous Culture Regions. Students collaborated to created posters displaying how the tribes survived, adapted to their environments and have similarities and differences between their chosen region and our home region of the Eastern Woodlands.

We love our new snow!!! Mrs. Lombard's 1st graders made us a new friend!!!!


BCHS Talent Show Tonight @ 7pm in the Auditorium. Students put on a great show this afternoon and looking forward to another performance tonight.
