This is the visual we share with your students about clean cubbies. I thought it might be helpful for you all to have a copy to help us reiterate how to keep our cubbies looking neat and to help keep track of all of their items.
Thanks for your help at home with this skill!

State Representative, Annette Glenn, visited BCEL today to read to some of our classes for March is reading month
I apologize for the flop back but our Miller rd drive is just not faring well with the thaw and the cars. I see we are also going to get rain on Friday which will not help matters.
We need to switch back to the Poseyville Rd. entrance for the time being.
I ask that you are mindful of cars coming from the north and the south and take turns coming in the drive. Make sure to stay to the left so cars can come and go easily.
We will stick to the 815 am drop off time and 315 pick up time. You guys have got the routine down so we do not need the extra time.
Thank you again for being flexible as we try to figure out how to make this drive work with the amount of traffic and the weather that causes the drive to get muddy and rut up.
Our next teacher feature is our amazing, Mrs. Chappel! She is one of 1st grade teachers... read more below!
TK, Young 5’s and Kindergarten classes across the district have been busy identifying maple trees, tapping them, and collecting sap.
"If we create a culture where every teacher believes they need to improve, not because they are not good enough, but because they can be even better, there is no limit to what we can achieve." ~Dylan William

Shared from Mrs. Napoli's post- BCEL Today was all about inspiring leaders! Well folks, HERE THEY ARE! This morning we had the pleasure of reading to Mrs. Bradley’s Young 5s class! I observed your child being a leader in the following ways: ✔️Students worked hard to practice their reading in advance. ✔️Our class respectively greeted their new Young 5s friend and made them feel comfortable. ✔️Students were respectful of the learning space. ✔️Everyone read clearly and took their time to be sure their Young 5 friend could follow along. ✔️Students engaged Young 5 friends in a fun I Spy activity following their reading. I heard kind direction, coaching, sharing, and giggling. ✔️Before leaving, students shared handmade bookmarks with words of reading encouragement for our new Young 5 friends. Your child kindly thanked their partner, and shared friendly waves goodbye. This experience really warmed my heart! We’ll be doing it again next week with Ms. Heider’s Young 5s class. We can’t wait! Please share an extra hug with your child, they sure are amazing leaders! I’m so proud of them!
Meet your next teacher feature!!!-- Mrs. Napoli!!
Ms. Allie from CNC led our Young 5’s classes through an activity to explore how bird beaks are adapted for the type of food they eat. They also went on a hike through the woods to hang food for the birds.
Mrs.Woods nature para, Ms. Rae, bought in an alligator skull for the 1st graders to explore!! They are studying nocturnal animals and learned that alligators are one of those nocturnal animals! Thanks Ms. Rae for sharing!!
