Dear BCHS Families,
I apologize for the lengthy note, however, as we approach the end of the year I have several important things to share.
1. April 13th – PSAT/SAT Testing
Release times for students will be as follows. If students want to be released to go home following the test, a permission slip needed to be turned into the office by today (Friday, April 8th). Those remaining at school will follow an altered schedule.
PSAT – Freshmen – Approximate release time 11:05am
PSAT – Sophomore – Approximate release time 11:25am
SAT – Juniors – Approximate release time 12:45pm
*Students who have accommodations may have a slightly longer testing period.
2. April 14th – ½ Day for students - BCHS release time at 10:45 (except Juniors)
3. April 14th – ACT WorkKeys Testing – Juniors only – Testing will run beyond the 10:45 release time – those needing transportation home marked it on the Early Release Permission slip. Bussing will leave for those students at 1:15 from the HS.
4. April 20th & 21st – MSTEP Testing (Science/Social Studies) – Juniors only
5. Junior/Senior Prom tickets available for sale in room 3D – April 18th -27th – $40/person – 250 student capacity – tickets are sold on a first come first served basis. For invited guests that do not attend BC, a Dance Visitor Pass must be approved prior to ticket purchase.
*Prom will be held April 30th at the H Hotel from 6pm-11pm.
6. May 4th – Decision Day/Cookout – Seniors.
7. No Detention Convention
8. May 9th – Career Search, program held at BCHS for Sophomores.
9. May 9th & May 11th – AP testing for those enrolled and signed up in those courses.
10. May 10th 6:00pm, BCHS Main Gym – Awards Night – Invitations will be sent to students getting an award. Families are encouraged to come and support their student.
11. May 20th – Seniors’ last day of school,
12. May 20th – Senior Sunset 7pm-9:30pm
13. May 25th – Graduation Rehearsal 9:00am
14. May 26th – Graduation
15. June 3rd, 6th & 7th Exams
16. June 7th – Last day of school
