Wrapping up all the holiday fun at the middle school this last week before winter break! Here's a look at all the festive fun we had! Door decorating contest, spirit days and rounding out the week with grade level activities! BCMS wishes you all a safe and restful winter break. Happy Holidays!
The Christmas middle school did not disappoint! These kids had a great time and are ready for a well-deserved break.
Members of the 7th and 8th grade middle school band made a trip to King's Daughters Home to spread some holiday cheer. The residents very much appreciated the students’ performances and were very thankful for the students taking time out of their day to visit them! It was a good experience for the students, particularly because many of them had not been to a nursing home or had and connection to the residents before. The students used things they learned at school to enrich the lives of those in their community. The feeling of pride and self confidence that was displayed by the students is another bonus that helps them grow. It was a very worth while experience for everyone!
Students in Mrs Van Ochten's science class were using their engineering design skills to create hand warmers using a chemical reaction and a lot of creativity!
Both BCMS Robotics teams competed in Pellston, Michigan last weekend. They competed hard the entire weekend and did a fantastic job. Team microCreek, 10805, got the Safety-Judges award. The judges said they were the kindest team and did a great job with safety. Not just first aid kits and safety glasses, but safety of each other and supporting one another. Way to Go Creek!
A perfect night for BCMS girls basketball! Two victories against Pinconning and some wonderful school spirit provided by our 7th and 8th grade pep band.
The Bullock Creek Middle School 2024 Holiday Band Concert was last night, and our students did an incredible job! We had performances from each grade with a collective effort by the 7th and 8th grade players to end the show. It was great to see how far they have come especially since I know they have been working very hard on their pieces. Overall, it was a smashing success, and we are very proud of their accomplishments!
Congratulations to our terrific BCMS Lancers Who LEAD for the month of November! 6th grade: Madison McGuire, Caleb Price, and Madison Huss. 7th Grade: Austin Curtis, Greysen Teeter, and Teagan Snell. 8th Grade: Aislinn Morgan, Gage Williams, and Piper Triplett.
Due inclement weather, all middle school girls basketball games have been cancelled. We apologize for the late notice.
BCMS was adopted by Garber Chevrolet in Midland, Corteva and Dow as part of the Saginaw Spirit's Adopt a School Program. Spirit tickets were donated by these groups that could be used for any home game, any time. Many families took advantage of this offer and secured tickets for their family to attend a Saginaw Spirit hockey game. Thank you to Garber Chevrolet, Corteva and Dow for this wonderful opportunity.
Great night of wrestling for the BCMS wrestlers! Fought and competed hard against Pinconning and Ogemaw!
Congratulations to Albin Reder and Asher Wiggins! They participated in the 2024 Cross Country Coaches National Youth Championship in Lexington, Kentucky this past weekend!
We are very proud of Albin and Asher for the work they continued to put in this fall after the middle school season had ended. All their hard work was on display with solid racing and some personal best results in the 3,000 meter race. Albin placed 40th of 156 (12yr olds) with a time of 11:33 and Asher medaled & placed 22nd of 112 (11 yr olds) with a time of 11:42. Great job gentlemen!
Taking care of business on the court tonight! The BCMS girls 7th and 8th grade basketball teams were victorious over Ogemaw.
Who says Kindness Week can only last a week? After the middle school's week of kindness in which students enjoyed kindness activities, positive conversations at lunch, hot chocolate in the morning, sidewalk chalk messages and making friendship bracelets, things continue on this week with students choosing to be the "I" in kind.
Congratulations to Ryker Lee for having the fastest vehicle in the sixth grade that demonstrated Newton's Third Law! What a great way to wrap up this unit!
Students at BCMS utilizing upgrades to one of the computer labs at the middle school. A fresh coat of paint, new carpet, new tables, and new monitors and software allow for great experiences in the area of technology.
Home opener for BCMS girls basketball. The girls played great against Clare.
This past weekend microCreek and I Creek competed at Delta College in a robotics competition. They did amazing and can not wait for their next competition in 5 weeks! Go Creek!
Students in Mr. Pfeiffer's sixth grade science class engineered Newton's Scooters to demonstrate action/reaction forces in Newton's 3rd Law.
