Mrs. Woods’ class had a great time at the CNC today! We learned about life in the lives of the 1870 farm families. We loved learning how to grind corn, feed the farm animals, saw logs, and pump water. These are just a few of the chores we learned about! We had so much fun!!!!

Mrs. Duhoski's 2nd graders use a gratitude jar in their room to recognize all the things they can be grateful for throughout their day. On Friday's they read the slips turned in recognition of the students or adults that they were grateful for throughout the week. I was recognized today for my expressed gratitude for all of my Little Lancers. After the slips are read the students and adults who were recognized stand up and the entire class earns an extra minute of recess for each nomination. Thank you for inviting me, 2nd graders!! I sure am grateful for each and every one of you!! And ...I am grateful for Mrs. Duhoski and all the wonderful things she does with her amazing 2nd graders!

Students in Mrs. Bradley‘s 5th grade class have been exploring Indigenous people groups, the diverse regions they lived in, and the resources available in each region. Students researched the homes built by these groups and constructed replicas of homes to model the resources and materials used. We love your creativity!

Miss Jen and Miss Karen from the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library recently visited the fourth graders at Pine River Elementary. Many of you already know about the free- and low-cost resources that the library has to offer, but did you know that adults can also check out board games, yard games, binge boxes, craft kits, discovery kits, and puzzles? They even have a telescope, hammock, and metal detector available! After that, the librarians showed the children how to search for items on the library's website: https://www.gadml.org/ Check it out!
