Mrs. Southwell's kindergarteners wrote to Santa and mailed them to the North Pole!! Today, Santa and Mrs. Clause visited them to thank them for their letters! What a surprise!
Mr. Steve Lampi visited some
classrooms at Floyd today to play holiday songs and gift students with stuffed animals.
Kiwassee Kiwanis friends gifted Floyd first grade with a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus today. Students enjoyed a craft, songs with Santa, tales from the North Pole and a thoughtful gift. It was a magical afternoon!
Mrs. Clark hosted Minute to Win It today with all grade levels during lunch. We had lots of laughs and good sports at Floyd as we celebrated being Safe, Responsible, and Respectful with another month of Creeker Coupons.
Our BC Board of Education honored Traci Wells last night as a Lancer Leader for her dedication to the district. Congratulations and thank you Traci!

On Saturday, 17 Bullock Creek High School students, including three of our exchange students, volunteered their time and talents at Breakfast with Santa, held at Messiah Church. Our students painted faces, served as elves in Jayden Lamb's Toy Shop, and helped with crafts.
Bullock Creek High School students and staff are celebrating "12 Days of Christmas" with special spirit days. Thursday's day was "Family Portrait Day". Students and staff dressed alike to make the perfect family photo.

Students in Mrs. Kettler's Computer Skills classes participated in the National Hour of Code for Computer Science Week.
Floyd students in Mrs. Korson's class worked to solve the problem of how to protect "Tiny Town" from a boulder bouncing down a hill heading towards town. They experimented with the placement of 1-5 poles (push pins) to alter the direction of the boulder's movement (a ping pong ball) in order to save the town.
The MEA retired members group generously donated over 40 coats, tons of snow pants, hats, gloves, and winter boots to our students to help with our winter needs when we head out to nature in the elements. We are so incredibly grateful for their generosity! Our kids will definitely benefit from all of this warm gear! Thank you MEA for your thoughtful donation!
AP Calculus students are investigating how the length of a shadow changes as a person walks away from a spotlight on the ground or a streetlight.
1st grade students at BCEL used flashlights and paper with dot patterns to learn about some of the constellations. Thank you Ms. Rae for creating this fun activity.
Self Love Beauty hosted a workshop on Friday afternoon for BCHS students titled, "How to Break the Habit of Self-Doubt and Build Real Confidence." Participants had a great time working on their confidence, identifying their skills and talents, and creating new friendships. The next workshop is on February 17. Some of our first grade Lancers at BCEL used their recess time to work in their pollinator garden. They had such great conversations and fun while getting important work done.
