Some of our first grade Lancers at BCEL used their recess time to work in their pollinator garden. They had such great conversations and fun while getting important work done.

Nathan Rivard was recently honored for his outstanding character, service, and leadership at the DAR Good Citizen Recognition Tea. Ten seniors from ten area high schools were selected for this prestigious honor. We are proud of Nathan and his accomplishments!

Mrs. Hedlund's kindergarten class has been learning about Day vs Night.
"Today we learned more about the moon phases and why the moon looks different throughout the month. Students used Oreos to make a model of the new moon, first quarter, full moon, and last quarter phases of the moon. They then used their models to draw a diagram in their science journals."

Floyd gym students got a bonus hockey lesson last week thanks to a brief visit from three Saginaw Spirit hockey players. What a fun time!
Mr. Wright sent in pictures of their newly received salmon eggs for the Salmon in the Classroom program. Students get to observe and study the first five stages of the salmon life cycle before releasing them in the Chippewa river in the middle of May

8 students from Bullock Creek performed in the honor band- which was a large portion of the honor band! Way to go Josiah, Ashlyn, Megan, Bridgette, Wyatt, Mattie, Marc, & Clare! Clare Pelli was also first chair overall, and got to perform with EMU’s top Band!
We also saw BC Band alumni performing with the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Marching Band! Go Rebekah Kindy, Anna Pelli, & Kaylee Monville!
Some pictures of Mr. Wright's class learning about the Indigenous Culture Regions. Students collaborated to created posters displaying how the tribes survived, adapted to their environments and have similarities and differences between their chosen region and our home region of the Eastern Woodlands.

Kindness week continues! Each morning members of the kindness committee lead the announcements to let us know what our day will focus on. This morning Willow and Harper let us know it was Share a Smile day!! Students got two smiley stickers...one to keep and one to give away! :)
A huge thank you to our wonderful School Board and Food Service Department for providing homemade donuts and coffee to our staff on November 8th!
