Mrs. Clare's 3rd hour Psychology class explored the effects of a split brain (caused by a damaged or cut corpus callosum) with a demonstration. Just a couple of brainiacs keeping our thoughts in sync—sort of! 🧠✂️

On Sunday, September 22nd, Bullock Creek’s own Mrs. Discher was recognized by Delta College’s Humanities Learning Center as their Humanities Educator of the Year. The ceremony took place at the elegant Andersen Enrichment Center in Saginaw, where Elle Hale talked to the crowd gathered there about how Mrs. Discher inspired her so much during her sophomore year. Elle nominated Mrs. Discher for this award. Mr. Hale was also in attendance, as were Mrs. Discher’s parents and husband. Congratulations, Mrs. Discher!

Congratulations to Autumn Fransen for being chosen as Bullock Creek High School's Class of 2025 DAR Good Citizen. A DAR Good Citizen exhibits the qualities of dependability, service, patriotism, and leadership. Her classmates chose Autumn based on those criteria. Autumn will go on to compete against other nominees in the John Alden Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution for a scholarship. We wish Autumn good luck in the next phase of the scholarship competition!

Bullock Creek Equestrian scored 575 points at this weekend's event. They are advancing to Regionals the 26th-30th.
On Thursday, Mrs. Clare's classes enjoyed a patch of nature as they were all asked to collect one item. Because they are reading The Most Dangerous Game by Richard Connell, they used that item to inspire their own story in their journals.
Mrs. Martin’s trigonometry students were using linear functions to determine how many rubber bands to use for a bungee cord.
Seniors celebrated their last first day of high school by watching the sunrise and enjoying a doughnut.
